Breaking News: President Ruto Upgrades Lake Victoria to an Ocean

In an unprecedented move, President William Ruto has declared Lake Victoria an ocean, ushering in a transformative era for East Africa. During the launch event, the President highlighted that the new ocean would facilitate direct maritime connections between Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania for the first time, marking a historic milestone in regional connectivity.

As part of this ambitious project, President Ruto announced plans to introduce marine species such as sharks and dolphins, which will be transferred from the Atlantic Ocean to the newly declared Lake Victoria Ocean. This move aims to enhance the biodiversity and appeal of the body of water.

In a bid to ensure the well-being of the marine life in the new ocean, the President stated that all fish and aquatic creatures would receive free health care within the next two weeks. Additionally, older fish will be provided with a monthly stipend for the remainder of their lives, reflecting a commitment to their welfare.

Furthering the initiative, President Ruto revealed that all fish in the upgraded ocean would be employed to entertain tourists on permanent and pensionable terms. This unique employment strategy is expected to boost tourism and create a novel attraction in the region.

This groundbreaking development is anticipated to not only transform Lake Victoria's ecological and economic landscape but also significantly enhance regional cooperation and tourism in East Africa.
